Sydney: Sydney Snyder graduated from Chapman University in May of 2010 with a B.A. in Art and a minor in English and Comparative Literature. She has shown work in several exhibitions at the Guggenheim Gallery in Orange, CA including Fierce, Fall 2008; Shhh…They can sense irrelevance, Spring 2009; Open for Business, Spring 2009; Below the Fold, Spring 2010; and Student Art Show, Spring 2010. Sydney exhibited work at LACE’s (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibits) Hollywood MerchmART!, Summer/Fall 2010 and Denver’s CORE New Art Space WOW Show in February of 2011. Sydney accepted the award for Best B.A. Show Spring 2010 for her work “Posing Gender” that premiered at Below the Fold. Sydney enjoys working in a variety of media including ceramics, painting, video, book art, performance, and photography. Her work often explores issues of gender identity and identity in general. She has been teaching art to students of all ages on and off for five years. Today, Sydney lives in Denver and enjoys teaching art at several wonderful places.
